On this page, you will find information about businesses here in Lund that clearly support and
openly show that they like our work to increase tourism to Lund. We recommend supporting these
businesses by eating and shopping with them or giving them positive publicity. None of them
have paid us to get publicity. Mentioning and recommending them to our visitors is our way of
thanking them for their support. We want to collaborate with as many businesses as possible to
increase tourism to Lund by getting more people to find our tourist information and
highlighting Lund as an interesting and welcoming destination.

Collaboration with us never costs anything, and we ourselves do not have the opportunity to pay for collaboration with others.
Hotel
Even though the hotels would gain the most from more tourism to Lund, only a few of them clearly show that they appreciate our work so far. We, of course, think it would be good if you as visitor chose to stay with them, and thereby show that it matters to you. If you stay at one of the central hotels and choose to experience Lund together with our greeters, they can meet you at the hotel reception.

Hotel Nordic is situated in a building built in 1818. It was rebuilt in 1906 and 1940. When
the house was renovated in 2015, to become a hotel, as much as possible of the house's
historic construction was preserved. The result is a charming environment with exposed beams
and oblique angles. Unlike most of the other hotels, which only collaborate with Lund
Municipality's cultural event company Visit Lund, Hotel Nordic shows that they value our work
to increase tourism to Lund. It is appreciation that means a lot to us.

The More Hotel Lund
The More Hotel Lund is situated in old engine sheds, previously belonging to the railway
between Lund and Revinge, east of Lund. The hotel's restaurant, called the Food room
(Matrummet), is of high class and belongs to the "fine dining" segment. It means a lot to us
that a hotel with such a good restaurant now also clearly shows that they appreciate our work
to increase tourism to Lund. Now there is yet another hotel that we are happy to refer to when
tourists and visitors ask us to recommend a hotel.

Hotel Concordia
Hotel Concordia has since 1982 been in a beautiful building of cultural and historical
interest from 1882 in central Lund, which is said to have been built by carpenter Johan
Nilsson Lindström. The house has been used for many different businesses over the years, and
has been rebuilt several times, most recently in 2000. The Italian restaurant La Donna
Birgitta was opened in 2021 in the hotel's basement. Now guests are met by posters about our
tourist information and our greeters when they enter the hotel and when they visit Hotel
Concordia's website. It is appreciation that means a lot to us, not least because our goal is
to get as many tourists and visitors as possible to stay at hotels here in Lund during their
visit instead of just visiting Lund during the day.

Restaurants and cafés
Restaurant Taperian
Restaurant Taperian, situated on Sweden's oldest square, The Main Square (Stortorget) in Lund,
serves good southern European tapas dishes. Although, what makes them a tourist attraction is
that they serve beer from their own microbrewery in the basement below the restaurant. Their
beer has been awarded several awards. Taperian was the first business that openly and clearly
showed that they appreciate the work we and our greeters do to increase tourism to Lund. It
means a lot to us and is a reason why our greeters eat with them.

Restaurant Valvet
Restaurant Valvet is situated in a historically beautiful brick building with charming arches,
which belonged to the old hospital area from the early 1900s. The restaurant has an Italian
focus but has a lot of other dishes as well, such as burgers and classic Scanian "eggcake".
Restaurant Valvet is very positive about our work to increase tourism to Lund, and they have
put up several of our yellow posters to tell their guests about our tourist information. That
is something we appreciate very much and contributes to why our greeters are eating with them.

The Lund brewery's beer cellar
The Lund brewery's beer cellar (Lundabryggeriets ölkällare) is a fantastic place for those who
like to try different kinds of beer. Not least their own locally brewed beer. The restaurant
and the brewery have the same owner, so all The Lund brewery's different beers are available
on pump in the restaurant. The brewery is in Torna Hällestad, 18 km east of Lund. Their beer is
also available for purchase at Systembolaget (the Swedish Wine monopoly) in Lund. The
restaurant serves good, high-class food in a charming basement with brick walls.

The Salad Factory
The Salad Factory (Salladsfabriken) is a lunch restaurant where you can eat nice salads for
lunch. Our greeters have been there several times and eaten the salads.

Guatemalan Premium Coffee
Guatemalan Premium Coffee is a small café where you can sit and experience the cozy atmosphere
in the older part of the Market Hall (Saluhallen), built in 1909. They serve coffee made from
coffee beans that they import themselves directly from growers in Guatemala. According to the
brothers who started the business, you will find the world's best coffee in Guatemala, and
they probably know what they are talking about because they have worked 15 years in the coffee
industry in Guatemala. The history of the Market Hall is also interesting, and you can read

Restaurant AIMU
Restaurant AIMU is a lunch restaurant with an interesting Asian focus with, among other things,
liangpi noodles, wagashi pastries, Japanese tea ceremonies and wonton soup. The lady who runs
the restaurant is a certified tea master and offers tea tastings.

Minù Vegan Goodies is a lunch restaurant, café and delicatessen, specialized in creating
high-quality plant-based desserts and sweets with natural ingredients such as fruits and nuts.

Restaurant Gattostretto
Restaurant Gattostretto serves delicious Italian pasta dishes. The restaurant is situated
above Drotten's church ruin, one of Lund's most historically interesting museums with the
ruins of what was Lund's first Cathedral and Scandinavia's first archbishop's church. You can
access the ruins through the restaurant. Many times, they are kind and let our greeters in
when walking with tourists and visitors who want to see the church ruin, even if the
restaurant was closed. Our greeters often go there for lunch or dinner.

Shops
Even though the city center trade has so much to gain from increased tourism to Lund, the board of the Lund Trade Association (Handelsföreningen) is still not positive about our work to increase tourism to Lund. Some of Lund's stores think differently. We would like as many people as possible to choose to shop with those positive to The voluntary tourist information Destination Lund. That will show those stores that they are doing the right thing in supporting our work to increase tourism to Lund.
Doolittle Records
Doolittle Records is the place for anyone who likes music. They sell both used and new records,
but also clothes and some other things. They maintain Lund's tradition as a music city in a
nice way. In the 1970s and 1980s, Lund was a pop music city of rank when world stars such as
Kiss, AC/DC, ABBA, Paul McCartney and many more, performed at Olympen here in Lund. Doolittle
Records arranges the recurring evening festival Pop Music City (Popstad) Lund, in
collaboration with Mejeriet, to recreate part of Lund's identity as a pop city. Sometimes they
also organize music events in their own store and participate as DJs in various contexts.
Doolittle Records was among the first businesses to contact us and to put up one of our yellow
posters to tell about our tourist information. It's appreciation that means a lot to us!

Folk & Frö at Bytaregatan 4
"People and Seeds" (Folk & Frö) is a business focusing on circular economy and
sustainability. They run the store Bytaregatan 4, which sell reuse and vintage. Sometimes they
also organize "Finloppis" which is like a flea market with vintage. Bytaregatan 4 is an
interesting shop with retro furniture, vintage and second-hand clothes, accessories, art and
ceramics. They contacted us and expressed their appreciation for what we and our greeters are
doing to increase tourism to Lund. They have also put up one of our yellow posters. Such
appreciation always means a lot to us!

The Deli heaven
If you like cooking according to the good Italian cuisine, you must go to "the Deli Heaven"
(Delikatesshimlen), which is situated on Lund's main shopping street, Small Fisher Street
(Lilla Fiskaregatan). They sell Italian delicacies, vegetables and fruit, but also some
household utensils. They have put up one of our yellow posters saying that we have greeters
who are happy to show Lund to tourists and visitors. The goal of what we do is to bring more
customers to businesses like Delikatesshimlen.

Lokchan
Lokchan is an Asian grocery store situated in Bytaregränden. According to their own
information, they offer more than 3,000 different products from all over Asia. It's everything
from fresh vegetables, Swedish tofu and more than 100 different kinds of instant noodles. They
think our greeters are such a good initiative, and they are also happy to recommend it by
putting up one of our yellow posters.
Indo Asien Livs
Indo Asien Livs says that they have put up one of our yellow posters to tell their customers about our tourist information, but we don't have a picture of it yet. The shop is situated at Råbylund in the southeastern part of Lund. It is valuable that people who live or visit other parts of Lund also receive information about our tourist information. This is one reason why we are happy to collaborate with other businesses than those only located in the center of Lund.

Other organisations
HUB & Café
HUB & Café is a small café for socializing, education and a place for workshops on
sustainability and recycling. They are situated at the far end in the City Hall (Stadshallen)
behind the Botulfs Corner (Botulfshörnan) at the Main Square (Stortorget). They also
collaborate with us by telling about our tourist information and about the opportunity to see
Lund completely free of charge together with our greeters.

The Faculty of Law at Lund University
Lund University is a very large and important part of what is interesting about Lund as a
tourist destination. That is why we have produced seven different visitor guides about the
University City of Lund. It also often happens that guest workers, visiting researchers and
exchange students at the university will see Lund together with our greeters, not least when
they have family or friends visiting. We would like to collaborate as much as possible with
the university and its various faculties, departments and others. Together, we can highlight
that Lund is one of the largest university cities in the Nordic region. Therefore, it also
means a lot to us that some different places at the University, as the Faculty of Law in the
picture, recommends that their students and visitors can see Lund together with our greeters.

Inter Culture in Lund
Inter Culture in Lund organizes multicultural activities around Lund municipality. They have
invited us several times to participate in informing about Lund as a tourist destination, for
example at market festivals in various places in Lund. This is something we appreciate very
much. We would like to show and tell about Lund as a destination for the new Lund residents,
often of foreign origin, who Inter Culture's activities are aimed at. Through them, we get the
opportunity to reach out to many more people who may also want to visit Lund. Above all, we
would like to contribute to many more of Lund residents knowing more about what is interesting
about Lund as a tourist destination.

Lund City Council and Political parties
Our goal is to increase tourism to Lund, and that our efforts will lead to increased turnover
for the hospitality industry, which will create more jobs and make Lund a more fun for all of
us. Yet only one of the political parties represented in Lund City Council, the Center party,
clearly shows that they think what we do is good and valuable for Lund. None of the other
parties have ever said anything clearly positive about what we are doing during the almost ten
years we have worked to increase tourism to Lund. The Center party has continuously been
positive to what we do to increase the tourism to Lund.
