Allotment areas in Lund

In Lund, there are 18 beautiful allotment areas, all open for visitors during summertime. From the first of April to end of September, the areas are open daily from 8.00-20.00. The allotment areas are not only lovely with all the flowers and green areas, but they are also historically interesting, four of them are more than one hundred years old.

1. Sankt Hans

The allotment area Sankt Hans Saint Hans) was established 1995, and there are 44 allotments and 5 arable plots. This is the most recent created allotment area in Lund.

2. Oscarshem I

The Oscarshem I allotment area was established in 1964, and there are 60 allotments.

3. Oscarshem II

The allotment area Oscarshem II was established in 1970, and there are 42 allotments.

4. Oscarshem III

The allotment area Oscarshem III was established in 1976, and there are 50 allotments. They have their own website also.

5. Viktoria

The allotment area Viktoria was established in 1981, and there are 20 allotments, which mean that this area is the second smallest. The allotment area has a website as well.

6. Örjan

The allotment area Örjan was established in 1946, and there are 17 allotments. This is the smallest allotment area in Lund.

7. Sankt Månslyckan

The Sankt Månslyckan (the Saint Måns garden) allotment area was established in 1907, and there are 95 allotments. This the second oldest and second largest allotment area in Lund. They have their own website as well as a Facebook page.

8. Haga

The allotment area Haga was established in 1931 (or perhaps 1934), there are 64 allotments.

9. Västhagen

The Västhagen (the west meadow) allotment area was established in 1943, and there are 43 allotments.

10. Västra Sommarstaden

The allotment area Västra Sommarstaden (the western summer-city) was established in 1940, and there are 72 allotments.

11. Högbo

The Högbo allotment area was established in 1975, and there are 25 allotments.

12. Brevduvekolonin

The allotment area Brevduvekolonin (The homing pigeon allotments) was established in 1943, as an area for the Homing Pigeon Society, which was established in 1934. This is the smallest area whit only 15 allotments. It is also special, to have an allotment here, you need to have homing pigeons.

13. Klostertäppan

The allotment area Klostertäppan (the Cloister garden patch) was established in 1982, and there are 24 allotments. This is the second most recent allotment area created in Lund.

14. Gläntan

The allotment area Gläntan was established in 1948, and there are 27 allotments.

15. Täppan

The allotment area Täppan was established in 1915, and there are 81 allotments. This area has their own Facebook page also.

16. Öster I

The allotment area Öster I was established in 1905, and there are 118 allotments. This is the biggest and oldest allotment area in Lund. They have a Facebook page and a page in Instagram också.

17. Öster II

The allotment area Öster II was established in 1919, and there are 73 allotments. They have a website and a page in Instagram also.

18. Solhällan

The Solhällan (the Sun slab) allotment area was established in 1953, and there are 80 allotments. The area has their own website.
